What materials are used to make the Klinger 4430 insulating gasket?
Klinger 4430 insulating gasket is built from a purpose-designed composite stack. Its architecture is built on three carefully engineered tiers-a reinforcing fibre matrix, a binder system and a proprietary surface coating-each tuned to guarantee outstanding sealing performance across the full operating envelope.

- Reinforcing fibres  
The load-bearing skeleton is a hybrid of glass and synthetic fibres. The glass fraction delivers high thermal stability and excellent dimensional integrity, while the synthetic component supplies the flexibility and recovery needed to maintain a tight seal under cyclic pressure and temperature loads. Together they give the gasket the mechanical strength required for the most demanding duties.

- Binder system  
An NBR (nitrile-butadiene rubber) binder locks the fibre network into a homogeneous composite. NBR was selected for its superior resistance to oils, fuels and aliphatic hydrocarbons, making the sheet especially suited to sealing petroleum-based media.

- Surface coating  
Both faces of the C4430 sheet carry Klinger's 3XA anti-stick finish. The low-friction coating allows the gasket to release cleanly from flange surfaces, eliminating the need for release agents or supplementary lubricants during assembly or disassembly. This speeds up maintenance and prevents foreign substances from entering the sealed system.
